My Tecumseh engine OHV165 will not start. It worked last week and will start if the battery is jumped and will work for a short period. Now it will not start at all.

Sounds as if you are not getting fuel for whatever reason. Plugged gas cap, filter, pump or carb. Do check for ignition though.
