I am permanent resident from August 2008 to present my wife had entered the united states last june2011 we got married August 2011, we had our first child sept2011. Her i94 was expired dec2011 I had filed the i130 for my wife last Monday. A friend of mine informed me that I might receive a letter from uscis ordering my wife to leave the united states because she is illegal and being to the fact that I am a resident not a citizen, should I have waited until I became a citizen I am worrying that my wife might face deportation and leave me and our child. Is this true and also can I apply for a work permit for my wife if yes under what category can I apply for the work permit
