Male, 4 months old & neutered started acting strangely this afternoon
My male cat, he's about 4 months old & neutered started acting strangely this afternoon. He won't let me touch him & when I try he hisses or runs away. I don't know what to do. He has been eating fine & using his litter as usual, he does go outside. He was playing earlier now he won't let us near him. Any ideas?

Just because he is neutered doesn't mean he can't detect the scent of a female in heat. That is what the problem is. It will pass. You did say he was an outdoor cat.

That might be a sign that he's in pain. Did he go outside before acting like this? Could he have been hit by a car?
(You really should have started your own question.) <admin moved it to its own thread>
Answer back soon to say how he is.

Personally I don't think that is the issue. There are no female cats around our house. I kind of acts like he may be in pain. But doest limp, he ate a short bit ago, he keeps hiding so we can't find him.

I suppose it is possible that he could have been hit by a car. He was letting me pet him then he took off and started hissing.

Thought I did start my own question, my apologies! <admin moved it to its own thread>
