Am still trying to wire a ceiling fan to a wall switch which also works a wall plug. The switch has a white, black and a copper ground. The wall plug has 4 wires connected to it 2 black and 2 white. I have already fed a new wire Down through the wall to the switch. I was told to take the 2 wires off the old switch and cap them together to make the plug hot at all times. Please tell me if possible step by step how to hook the new switch that would operate the ceiling fan and also make the plug continuously hot. The fan is now feeding off a junction box I installed by cutting a random wire. I'm sure this is probably a simple hookup but I'm thinking I can add another junction box and use the wire going to the fan now and just run it to the new switch and tie both lines together in a junction box after disconnecting the fan from the previous junction box. Also how do I hook up the new switch if I twist the 2 existing wires together going to the old switch. And I don't understand a lot about loops just the basics could you explain in plain English Thanks so much
