Tank makes gushing water sounds when not in use

While making this noise, I remove the tank top, and don't see anything wrong!

I'm assuming you mean the toilet tank. I have something I want you to do, Tonight before bed time put some food coloring in the tank and leave it overnight. Next morning check the bowl. Is there color in the bowl? Also which is your ballcock? Let me know. Tom
