23 years I have heard you're a fig pig,I would rather a billy goat, I hate you ,you're a usless piece of ,I can't stand to be around you,I would love to take this knife and shuve it down your thoat.all your sisters and brothers can't stand to be around you,no one likes you etc a lot more I have wrote it all dow through out the years and now I have taped his rants on my phone. He says he would do anything to be dead,everybody can kiss my . He has fights with 2 of my sons and they wiped his .is emotional abuse and verbal abuse illegal?? I LEFT WITH MY 3 boys put he came to live in the apartment because he went crying to the kids he was going to have to live in his car. But he never left.someone calles the housing agency to tell he was living there but to this day I believe it was him. So we would have to move.

Have you considered divorcing him?

How old are the kids ? Why did you allow him into an apartment you rented, so your kids wanted him there, too bad, say no.

This is true. But in general, so-called "verbal abuse" is not a criminal matter. As the old saying goes, "sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me". Not exactly true; words can cause significant harm. But nevertheless, unless they they constitute a threat, they are not criminal.

I'd make a stab (pun intended) at the "stab you" comment - but I don't know how the Police would consider that.
