My new HP Notebook keeps telling me "My Download App Stopped Working checking with windows for solutions" then this window disappears. How to fix?

Are you downloading in your browser or a program like a torrent or peer to peer download application please give the name of the application you are using when you get the error.

Try windows restore.

Pick a date where the laptop was still fine. And restore it.
System Restore does not delete your docs and pics and so on. It just undos changes that were made to the system...

-Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\ (System Restore)
