Can you explain what an electric shower is?

Is this a demand Shower head?
Smoothy, Our Galvanized hot water pipe broke in the slab and had to abandon it. Water Heater is on the other side of the house, and rather then have a water line through the center of the house overhead or a second water heater, I got an Insta Heat that screws on the Shower pipe, and needs to be plugged into a GFI outlet. Works great, could use for an outdoor shower where only cold water is ran, and a GFI is nearby.

This is what I have, and actually won't get hot enough too burn, and if you have it set on High and you want it hotter, slow the water down.

OP, have you checked the thermostat, both internal (if fitted) and the one of the front.
Also adjust how is your water supplied ?

Ok.. Had a feeling that's what they were talking about... its just one of those British terminologies I wasn't familiar with. (and I am familiar with quite a few). That's why I asked.

I'm familiar with two brand of on demand Heaters... the Jűnkers brand (German).and Indesit (believe its Italian)

They should all have a thermostat on them to adjust the termperature limits.

These do take some getting used to. They won't come on if the flow is too low... and you definitely have to adjust the hot and cold mix and leave it there until you finish the shower. I had one in my Apartment when I lived in Europe for 6 years... never liked it... and Have to deal with them every time I visit my inlaws every year (20+ years now) and I still don't like them... tank heaters are short lived where there is hard water... and the energy costs are so high you almost have to have on-demand heaters. Particularly if you have to use electric and not natural gas.
