Back in November of 2011 she broke up with me and ran off with someone else. I started no contact at that time. The past month and a half has been horrible. She's been at the forefront of my thoughts. Today four years ago was our first kiss, and since we basically started dating after that, we referred to today as our anniversary.

She texted me a few days ago telling me she was moving to Maine and she didn't want to put our cat through the stress of moving so she asked if I could take him. I told her I had to talk to my dad. About it, which is true. He still hasn't given me an answer. But what do I do about today?

I want to let her know how much I miss her and how much I've been thinking about her. She was there for me for three and a half years...

What do I do?

You tell her your dad said NO! Apologize, and hang up. Go back to NC! You are hardly the first guy to have thoughts triggering old feelings of past love made more intense by her text, about "our" cat!

Let this INCIDENT pass without drama, or fanfare, like its supposed to. The last thing you need is old stirred up feelings being stirred to a frenzy by you. Let them go, and they will.

Understandable, just wanted to clarify her text wasn't what triggered these thoughts. It was just a few days ago when she did that. I think its just this past month that triggered it, knowing the "four year" mark was coming up.

If you have looked at her Facebook or what ever, stop, Thinking and remembering is just going to bring more pain.

I agree, say your dad say no, and move on from this. There is NO point in talking to her again and open up old wounds. It is time to move on buddy. She has never had any respect for you and is now instigating something that she shouldn't be.
