hi I'm a 34 year old stay home dad I've not had a job for 8 years .because my x girlfriend was working as a lvn and going to school to become a rigeterd nurse well the great moment came she became a rn.we have a 6 year old boy and a 8 year old girl .as I said in the beging I do everything for them except provide cash .my x works 12 hours shifts makjes over 100,000 a year we bought a brand new house in nov 2011 and moved out January 1,2012 left me with our two kids and has been providing till now she asked me to leave the house by end of may.knowing I have no were to go and no money our kids do not want to stay with her she was the only family I had what can I do please help.

I will "assume" when she left, you filed for child custody and child support ?

If not that is the first thing, The issue biggest is that you are not married, if you were married, then joint assets, perhaps spouse support for a number of years. If your name is on the house, you and her can sell the house and perhaps split the money ( if there is any equity in the house)

But basically from child support ( and that can take months to get started if you have not already filed) and if she fights it. You need to get a job, get back to work and support the kids.

Why didn't you marry? Since most places have abolished common law marriage you may not be entitled to anything. You need to consult an attorney familiar with local laws, but I don't hold out much hope.

Whoops, I missed that YOU have the kids. If that is true then yes you can file and probably collect child support from her.
