I am Himachili Rajput and I am in love with a guy who is Baniya (Punjabi). His parents are okay with our relationship and marriage, but my parents are orthodox. They are not agreeing for the marriage. They want only Himachili Rajput boy.

I cannot marry anyone, I love my boyfriend a lot and I want to spend rest of my life with him.

No one in my family is supporting me for this. I am very tensed because of it. I respect my parents and I love my boyfriend. Please suggest me what to do.

Assuming that you have already crossed 18, I feel apart from calmly explaining to your parents where your happiness lies you have no other options to quietly settle this matter. If possible get his parents to talk to yours.

Thanks.. :) as I have already spoken to their parents they are very good by nature..

I am scared if my parents gets hyper while speaking to his parents. This might worsen the situation. I don't have anyone in my family who is supporting me for this..

You have not disclosed your ages, or if you are employed, or dependent on your parents so let me ask those questions in addition to how long the two of you have dated, or been in a committed relationship?
