I'm 34 and my father just passed away. We are in the middle of a law suit for wrongful death. I'm his only child but he did raise my older sisters. One of my sisters is saying he is not my father this is the first time I have ever heard this. My father and I had a special father daughter relationship. That thought has never crossed my mind. With saying this we also found out in the state of pa the mother gets 50% and the children get 50% which is me cause he never adopted them. What documents do I need to prove paternity?

You need either a birth certificate listing him as your father, or an acknowledgment of paternity.

If his body has not been buried then you can ask that a DNA sample be preserved.

But really, its up to your older sisters to produce proof you are not his legal daughter. Assuming he was married to your mother when you were born, then he would have been listed as your father on the birth certificate. Unless someone can challenge that (and its probably too late to do so) you are his legal child and whether he is your bio father or not is immaterial for issues of inheritance.
