Having problems with spark. Power probed the + side of the coil and it is hot with key on, power probe shows ground is working on the - side. When I rotate the engine and the points open I loose my ground like I am suppost to. NO SPARK, replaced the coil and wire and still no spark. Question being is the condenser possibly junk or is there a negative coil for this system being that it works off ground not power?? CJ

I gather you have an old K321 or the like with a battery ignition. First is the condenser attached to the negative side? It can also easily go bad. I can tell you where to get a free service manual. Note: you have to scroll down and you will see many K-Series manuals, then Magnum, the Command and lo and behold tucked in amongst the Command manauls is TP-2379. That is the one you want. The battery ignition starts on page 73. Coil pictured on following page. Champion H10 plug is part of the ignition.
