Where and what exactly does "sign my rights away" mean.

Signed so he could be adopted?

Refused or were refused visitation - or didn't request custody or visitation?

It is this side of impossible to "sign away" your rights.

Please clarify what you mean by signing over your rights. There is this myth that a parent can sign over their rights, but its only a myth. Only a court can terminate parental rights. So unless that happened, its unlikely whatever you signed has the force of law and can, therefore, be rescinded.

I signed full custodial rights to her in ky but we both currently reside in Indiana it was only a few months ago I'm a young father I don't fully understand my rights. It was not for adoption I just didn't have the means to care for him at the time and she was in the military at the time and recently was discharged any info or advice would be greatly appreciated

So what you really did was sign away visitation. Since that is the case there is room for a modification through the courts. Depending on how the situation is currently going you might want to just flow with visitation as is until there is a problem. Then go to court with a track record in your pocket already. If you are currently experiencing problems with visitation then go to court now.

You need to read what you signed. As noted only a court can terminate rights so ti is unlikely you signed away your rights. You may have, as noted ceded custody to the mother, but that is not the same as signing over rights and is revocable.

It sounds like you just gave 100 percent custody and legal custody to the other parent, has nothing to do with your rights to visitation, most non custodial parent just has visitation and the other parent has 100 percent custody.

So I would say you still have all your rights
