    Homework help
I am a student in an accounting class. For an assignment, we must interview an accountant. The questions we must ask: 1. How would you describe your accounting cycle? 2. When do you close your books? 3. Do you use software or a paper system? 4. What else can I find out? I would greatly appreciate if someone would answer all these questions for my assignment, and anything else you have to offer. Thank you!

Our cycle is monthly with a report prepared for the Board.
Our Books are closed on the last day of the month
We use software but must also rely on hard copy.
We reconcile our cash book with banking records regularly and make prompt payments
Almost all of our payments are made electronically and most of our receipts are also electronic
What else do you want to know. There is a great deal of detail associated with accounting

The questions you can ask an accountant depend upon whether you are talking to a public accountant, a financial accountant in a business or a management accountant

What can I tell you, even small organisations can use software to keep accounting records and prepare reports but I can answer many questions for you and am willing to do so
