You probably got prescriptions for muscle relaxants and pain pills?
Were you the driver? What part(s) of your back hurts--neck, low back?
Lower back . I was driving a car and a truck hit me from head on . They gave me flexeril, vicodin, and ib600
Did the doctor suggest physical therapy? Would you be willing to go for PT or to a chiropractor? Call the doctor who treated you to ask about PT. Would your health insurance cover either one?
I don't have health ins. But the other guys insurance will be paying for it so I don't have to worry . Should I go back to er or just give them a call
Did they do x-rays? I'd say it's time to go back to the ER.
No they dident do exrays I was in there for like 5 10 min
One of the ER doctors can give you a referral for PT. (The other driver's insurance company will want this all above board with a referral.) I'd even ask about chiropractic treatment, but most doctors will send you to PT. PT might include diathermy (heat and electric pulsing or TENS, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), jacuzzi, spinal manipulation and/or massage, intermittent traction.
Thanks for the help
Please let us know what happens.
OK will do
I would go back to the ER at this point in time. 5-10 minutes is not enough time to assess damage that a MVA can cause. You may need an x-ray or CT scan to assess tissue/muscle damage. PT might be dangerous at this point in time without knowing whether there is actual damage to the muscles or tissues or worse.
