I recently started Alesse BCP. I am starting my third pack today. My boyfriend and I just recently had unprotected sex while on the sugar pills on the second pack. Do I have anything to worry about?

You have to worry about STD, and since no form of birth control is 100 percent, you have to worry slightly about pregnancy.

By the second month are the pills effective?

Yes they should be as effective as they will be.
