I'm buying this home and the other day when I did an inspection on the heating furnace that was in the attic. The first this I notice was that it was just wired and pluged into a wall outlet, to make it even worse there was another wire, I believe it was an orange extension cord that was cut and wired to the fan and was pluged into a surge power strip. My question is, is this safe, should I get a professional to look at it? Any suggestion? Thank you...
