    Harbor-breeze ceiling fan w/light kit-wiring schematic
I have a harbor-breeze fan w/light kit, when the light is on the fan won't work.
When you turn off the light the fan works fine. I would like to re-wire the device correctly so that the fan works whenever I flip the switch. It is in a room that has two wall switches. One of the wall switches is a double (side by side) switch.so right now one switch is for the fan.the other two are the light.I turn on the light the fan will stop.wierd somebody really fixed it good.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks bill

Hi Bill, several questions, is this a new ceiling fan/light installation. Did you have a fan/light that worked fine before? Just by the way you described it the problem may actually be the way the switches are wired if everything is new.
