    verify a proof
I seem to be stuck on this: need to verify that (csc(x)+cot(x))/(tan(x)+sin(x))=cot(x)csc(x).

I can get the left hand side to (cos^2(x)+2cos(x)+1)/sin^2(x) and the right hand side to cos(x)/sin^2(x) before it stops making sense.

    Can anyone help please?

Replace the various trig functions with their sine and cosine equivalents. Then multiply the left side by cos(x)sin(x)/cos(x)sin(x) to clear out the awkward denominators. It works right out.
