I have a lovely turquoise and silver watch band which is signed "Whirling Wind." Does anyone know anything about this artist? I think it's a Navaho piece. Thanks

If this piece is genuine "whirling wind" it is quite valuable. It would be Navajo. Find an appraiser that is an expert in South Western jewelry. I did see some listings on EBay about whirlwind jewelry, you might want to check that out to see if it is similar.
Have you done any research yet? Your library might have books on South Western jewelry. Good luck finding information and congrstulations on owning a beautiful piece of whirling wind.
Ray Morton
Item probably made late 60s or early 70s

Wondering about whirling wind? Raymond Morton. Yea I know him. I was married to him. He is Navajo. He is not currently working to my knowledge. At one time he was a great artist. He won many awards for his work. And was shown in galleries and museums all over the united states and even in Germany. Kristi
