My boyfriend got a pimple on his butt that got infected and turned out to be a staph infection. He was arrested shortly after, left the staph untreated and 4 more staph infections appeared all in a row. The medical staff at la county jail said it was gonorrhea... is that possible?

It is not likely, the tests would show what it was.

Gonorrhea is caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae (not a staph).

Who said it was a staph? Did the jail medicos do a lab test?

Do NOT take any advice from people who think you have delusional parasitosis or think it is a joke because it is real, it is debilitating, and will change your life. Unfortunately many doctors lack the knowledge of this disease and CDC (Center for Disease Control) cannot identify it, nor bother to research further, they say its in your head.
