not enough room to ask here but I have a question
I was sick and had an infection in my lungs or so my dr said. I was running a 102 fever. He prescribed me z pack which I took and now I noticed a dry deep persistent cough. I also have this strange sensitivity in certain areas of my upper right side of my body. I can't go back to my dr because I don't have any money.Do you know what this may be?

Go back to the doctor, deep cough can be serious

Go to the ER if you have no money, but certainly the doctor you saw before would work something out with you. Yes, like Fr_Chuck said, this could be serious.

I am concerned about the cough yes but I am also concerned about the sensitivity on the right side of my body. I was exposed to chicken pox which I had as a child and was wondering if it may be shingles. I did have a fever prior to all of this

Is there a rash or any kind of pustules ("pimples") on the right side? Does your right side itch?

It started maybe a week ago and seems to be spreading. No rash but it feels like sunburn when I touch it.Very irritated.

Is it reddish like a sunburn? I definitely would have the doctor look at it. Yes, it could be the beginning of shingles. My doctor had given me meds to take for five days (I think it was) that relieved the shingles' symptoms and kept them from driving me crazy with pain and itching. Thanks to the meds, the shingles lasted only two weeks. Others have had shingles for months.

I agree another trip to the doctor would be your best bet. Remember that hospitals in the US can't refuse treatment for lack of ability to pay.
