    Jacuzzi Tub Disconnect
Does there have to be a motor disconnect switch located in the bathroom with a jacuzzi tub? Thanks for the help.

Depends on what code your state follows, usually not.

Most bathroom tubs with motors or heaters are plug-in. That is your means of disconnect.

Stan is correct. My Jacuzzi has two circuits run to under the tub, in a cavity with an access panel that contains the pump motor and heater, each circuit ends at a GFI receptacle, thus providing the required GFI protection and the disconnecting means with the cord and plug.

The GFI protection does not need to be a receptacle, can be a GFI circuit breaker, but the pump and heater usually are cord connected and a receptacle is needed at these devices.
