labman will be able to give a more experienced answer, but in general:

If there's no severe reaction, and no swelling to obscure the eyesight, then it should be handled the same as a sting anywhere else.
If there is a severe allergic reaction, you should contact your vet or an emergency animal hospital immediately. If there's swelling that to obscure the eyesight, you should contact your vet tomorrow morning, although it's likely nothing to worry about. Keep him inside until then, only going outside for the necessary reasons, and then on a leash to keep him from wandering off.

Bad timing. Keep an eye in it. Does your vet have Saturday hours? Do you have a 24 hour a day vet clinic in the area? This may or may not be a problem. I hate to panic you and have you seek emergency care if you don't need it, but I hate to see him have problems made worse if I don't.
