    Quality of fixtures
Hello! Is there a difference in the quality of plumbing fixtures (e.g. showerheads and vanity faucets) that are available at plumbing supply houses versus what is available at online websites? I have been told that fixtures available at big box stores often have plastic internal parts which allows them to be offered at a cheaper cost. Do you have any experience with any of the online plumbing stores? Thanks

Yes, many things including plumbing and even lawn tractors are made differently. Big box stores move enough product that some manufacturers will make a special line just for that store. Case in point, a John Deere tractor sold at Home Depot is not like the one sold by Deere dealerships, many cheaper parts. However, if you were to buy a Moen fixture at Home Depot it would still have a lifetime warranty so its still a great deal.

Don't be misled by cheap prices. Go with the big boys. Moen. Delta etc. Good luck, Tom

Thanks, I am looking at Delta. I was more interested in anyone's experience in ordering Delta products from online plumbing supply sites like www.faucetsdirect.com...there are many others. Thank you.
