Hi. Getting a divorce and need to cut expenses WAY back. I have always detestrd the amoun spent, anyway, on the intangibles. I speak with check-out clerks who are paying 200 per mo. On communications/ cable, phone, etc. NOT for me. I want to buy a good quality cell phone that takes Global SIMS card and doesn't require me to be locked in to one provider. I don't want to go low-down cheap, but maybe the next thing to it. I'd like to pay no more than 30 max for monthly service and that's with tax included, and I'm seriously re-thinking whether cable is any kind of a good investment. Only problem, so far I see is internet can because a lot. So, any suggestions re: a good cell phone and good, cheap, no-plan SMS card? Any other suggestions would be most welcome. No, I'm not asking go go back go back to the stone age, but I do want and need to disengage from the treadmiill a little and line my own pockets as much as I'm lining the pockets of giant corporations. Any input from geekey, students ( I remember how creative y'all can be or anyone w/ knowledge in these areas, I'll so appreciate. Thanks. Katy
