I am doing a vertical and horizontal financial analysis of two companies. What I need to know is when computing % of gross profit do I only include product gross profit or both product gross profit and rent and royalty gross profit? Also in the horizontal analysis if I should include the rent and royalty in revenue, COGS, and Gross profit?
