I'm 37 and recently had a pap test come back with abnormal results. I'm being sent for a colposcopy. The results say low grade squamous intra epithelial lesion: mild dysplasia, cannot exclude a more severe lesion. It also says fungi consistent with candida, which I know is a yeast. If this is HPV, how will it affect my boyfriend? We haven't had sex yet, a long distance relationship. I've read everything I can and know there are many types of HPV, but I've had 3 partners and I feel dirty. Its an STD. What will be the effects on him? Please help

Estimates are that about 1/2 of men who are sexually active will have HPV at some point in their life. While it has some effects the Warts are the most common effect.
