What did his lawyer say? You are aware he's going to need a really good one.
I'm taking a wild guess that this is even in the United states... and if it is what state?
In Georgia ( USA) no idea where you are at? But the sentence would be about 5 to 10 years for the crimes and he would have to serve about 1/3 of it ( 2 to 4 years) to get parole.
He may be in jail often up to a year before he even gets to trial if he does not make bail. No you can not drop the charges, only the DA can.
We are in Ga I've been looking @ some codes. To see Wht I could do about helping him.
I'm hopeing the D.A will run it all together with tha parole he is doing time for.
They may allow the current time served, but since he is doing it for a parole violation they do not have to, His lawyer at sentencing or in a plea agreement needs to work all of that out.
Assuming these crimes were against you, did they also include a domestic violence crime to any of the charges ? That can make it worst. Depending on the evidence, his attorney can try and plea deal perhaps dropping some of the charges to a plea to one of them> often in GA they would drop the enterng auto ( a serious felony) and the theft by taking and take a plea on the threats. But every DA is different.
