Need more detail. Type of stairs. Location of stairs in room. Y no post.

Have seen stairs and platform supported by ceiling but it takes a lot of planning and good supports.

You can install an intermediate post, halfway down or fasten a cleat to the floor and screw the stringer to it.

A landing with no posts, it may be cheaper to get a different wife. Most codes would not allow a hang type landing and a cantilever would need a masonary wall quite thick. What is there now?

Use a ledger and the adjacent walls if there are any.
If not use strapping. This application is acceptable as long as due diligance has been performed to ensure.
    1) the beam that the landing is bieng suspended from is capable of accepting the additional load.
    2) the nailing requirements for the strap(s) are followed for the applied loads. (Be very conservative!)
    3) Use engineered wood products(LVL ) to further help the cause, as LVL can handle higher loading and performs better all around vs. conventional lumber.

    Good luck.
