My husband and I both work during the days right now and when we get home we try to do activities with our dog to tire her out. She is a 5 year old cockapoo. We walk her, play ball with her and just play in general which usually tires her out but she always seems to wake up periodically throughout the night. A lot of the times, when my husband gets up to see if she needs to go out she will crawl in his place in bed and go back to sleep but otherwise will whine if nobody gets up... what can we do, she is and never was a kennel type dog.

When my dogs wake up at night I know they aren't tired.

She is and never was a kennel dog? I don't know exactly what you mean.

Can someone come in during the day to exercise her? In the AM before you go to work?

Thanks for your reply Judy. What I mean by she is and never was a kennel dog is that only went we were training her did we put her in a kennel in the house but she roams free in the house and at night sleeps on the bed with us since she is a hypoallergenic non shedding dog. I slide home on my lunch and take her for a walk but its only 30 min's that I get but I guess its better then nothing.

These are tough situations - working full time with a dog.

Is there anyone who could walk her during the day?
