My water meter is located on my drive and I have has a meter for 18 years. The reading has not altered since 2010. I pay over £43 / month for a 2 person property. My latest U.U. statement shows they owed me over £700 credit. When I contacted to ask for a repayment, they told me that there is obviously a fault with the meter and they will back track to find my estimated usage and change the meter.
Are they entitled to do this?
Am I entitled to claim a rebate?
