This is a very simple problem. Simply take your amount of 4780 times 5% interest to get your answer of how much interest is earned.

A mixture of acid and water is 35% acid. If the mixture contains a total of 40L, how many liters of pure acid are in the mixture? How many liters of pure water are in the mixture?

If acid is 35% then 40L * 35% = amount of Acid. For water simply take 40L minus your answer for Acid or 40L * 65% to get your answer because 100% - 35% = 65%
