    Teen pregnancy..
Well I'm 15 , and I took a home pregnancy test . It came up negative . I took the test 2 weeks after sex. It's a month now and I have been having bad pains when I sit or stand up and also a clear discharge . I'm very uncomfortable all the time and no matter how much sleep I get it seems like its never enough . Could the test have been wrong ?

    Hi foreverandalway,

It likely was too early to test. The tests are more accurate once you have already missed a period. Have you missed one yet or are you getting close to when one should be starting? If you haven't missed a period, wait and see what happens when you expect it. Then wait several days to see if it is just late, which can sometimes happen. It is possible that the discomfort you are feeling is a period getting ready to start.

If you are pregnant, you will have some very adult decisions to make. If you aren't pregnant, you will also.

Obviously it would be best if you stopped having sex. You are certainly not in a position to be able to afford a child. Physically, at 15, you would have increased health risks as well. Not to mention having to tell family that you are pregnant, which most young people have no desire to do. If you feel any pressure at all from your boyfriend to continue having sex, such as worrying that he might break up with you if you don't, then dump him fast.

If you decide to continue having sex, be smart and use two forms of birth control every single time. No exceptions as there is no time in your cycle that is 100% safe from pregnancy. A condom should always, always be used before there is any penetration at all, and you should also be on a reliable form of birth control. However... it is important to know that pregnancy can, and does, still happen even on birth control so you will always run that risk.

See what happens for May with your period. Obviously if it doesn't show or is not the norm, try another test.
