I have a sabre 1546 lawn tractor and the battery dies after I turn off the mower. It does hold the charge while it's running. The solenoid, battery and starter are all new. Any suggestions

One of those hair-pullers called a parasitic load. First suspect the diode in the charging system(it is in the engine harness near the starter.) Shut off engine, disconnect the ground cable(black) from the battery and check for voltage at the acble and a good frame ground. A reading of 12V; means that current is still flowing. Could be a bare wire or a shorted diode. If voltage is there, unplug the round connector near the starter to see if that stops it. The diode should be a bulge in that wire.
