1993 Toyota Camry V6 troubleshooting, no spark
Hi there,I purchased a 1993 toyota camry v6 not running.I put the key in and car wants to try to turn over but won't,so we wanted to see if there was any spark. No spark so we replaced coil, still no spark,so we replacedm thinking my brother replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor still got no spark nor will car start up.Does anyone have any suggestions? Im trying to do things step by step ,but someone mentioned timeing belt, would this have anything to do with why it won't start up? Thank you

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Remove the oil filler cap, look inside, and ensure the camshaft rotates, when you crank the starter motor.

    . Check for codes.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM), if the problem persists.

You say it wants to turn over but won't?
If the engine won't turn over, it will never start. Begin by testing the starting/charging system. You need a good battery and starter motor first.
Once you get the engine to turn over, then you can test for spark and/or injector pulse.

I wouldn't replace anything that hasn't tested as failed.
Remember, NEW is an acronym for Never Ever Worked.
If you have a tachometer in the vehicle and it bounces while cranking, your Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is likely not faulty.
Address the battery concern and retest the vehicle.
