    Can I file taxes while on disability
    I am working for myself as a child care worker in my home, and I am receiving disability fir myself, am I able to file self employment?

    Not sure what you mean by "file for self employment" you have to report your earnings to the IRS and pay taxes on the money, including what is referred to as self employment taxes. ( basically your social security taxes) along with state and federal income taxes. After expenses your tax you pay will be about 1/3 of the income, I hope you have put that money aside to pay your taxes. In fact as a day care provider you would have given the people you work for your tax id number so they can deduct from their taxes child care expense.

    You do have to report your income also to your disability since it may effect that payment also depending on how much you are allowed to earn and collect it.
