I'm very sick of this... I don't know what ro do?
    Hello

I'm sure there's probably loads of questions like this on here already, but I'm absoloutly sick of it...

I'm nearly 18 (in May) and basically, me and my mother have always had a e relationship, right from birth

-She's always inspired fear or dread in me, apparently I used to scream when I saw her at the school gates when I was little

    - I have Aspergers Syndrome and I have never acted in a conventional way for a girl to act (into clothes/ shoes, make-up, sports, friend and shopping ect)

-Unlike other people with AS whose parents accept them, my mother has psent the last 18 years trying to normalise me and my dad doesn't want anything to do with me.

-My mother routinly calls me 'head' or 'wad' instead of using my real name, kicks me, punches and hits me and just today has stabbed me with a pen which has drawn blood

-She's admitted to me she wishes she had aborted me and usually brings up a time when I was in nursery I told a teacher I was unhappy with her and constantly reminds me of past mistakes.

-She constantly focuses on the bad things I do, puts me down and regularly says things like 'its not like your going to get anywhere in life'

    What should I do?

Where are you? If you have been stabbed with a pen you have been physically assaulted and your mother has committed a crime.

Soon you will be free of her, right? What are your plans now that you are 18? Is your AS bad enough to get benefits/disability and housing? Many people function OK at jobs and school, but it sounds like your home life hasn't helped you get through the first 18 years.

Talk to your school's transition counselor and tell them your situation. That should get you advanced placement in a group home or at least post-school services if you want to go that route. There are a lot if great programs for you to choose from if you research online you should find something that will benefit you in positive ways as well as boost your self-esteem. Start with the Autism Speaks website if you need a starting point. Best of luck young lady!

I also have a mother that tries to change me. If I were you I would try to find out where I would like to continue school and see if I could move there with the help of the state. Maybe your mom thinks it would be a great idea to. You need a change in you life and you need to brake loose from your mother. You need to start living your own life with the things you like.
Is there ever a place you have been you liked? Try to see if you can maybe be there for a while or even move there. Vacation clears you mind, but big changes are often a big help to!
Let me know what you did.
    Hugs!
