16 hp vanguard on simplicity lawn tractor
    Hello,
Went to start the tractor today, and gas was pumping up into the air cleaner through the vent tube from the little door on the side of the motor. One hose from the square fuel pump goes to the bottom of the door and another hose comes out the top of the door and goes to the air cleaner .
The motor starts right up and stays running , but gas pumps out the vent tube that comes from that little door. Can you help? Thank you, joe

    Hi,
The tube going from the breather(that is that rectangular piece) to the pump is providing engine vacuum to run the pump. The diaphragm inside the pump is supposed to separate it from the fuel. Your description says that there is a hole in it. It will also probably dump fuel into the crankcase oil. Suggest you check it as that will affect the lubrication of the engine.

    Peace,
    Clarke
