My father died 4 years ago, leaving a will that states my stepmother got everything. Our family has had a house trailer sitting on a section of his property since 2000. My sister's modular home has been sitting on another section of his property since the 90s. Now my stepmother wants us gone! What kind of recourse do we have?

Very little. She inherited the property, she owns it, if she wants you to move you have to move. You can try offering to buy the property the trailer or modular sits on. But if she refuses to sell that's it. In fact, it may be possible she owns the modular home. Since that could be considered part of the property.

You may try and buy the property from her, or you will move the trailers. She owns the property and unless you had some written contract that allows you to leave it there, she has every legal right to move it.

Was the will admitted to probate?

Did your mother predecease your father? Was she married to him at the time she died?
