    Early cycle
My expected date of periods is 18 or 19 th April as was my last periods held on 21 march, but my periods started earlier on 15 April means yesterday night. Is it normal or I have to consult to my doctor?
I always have regular periods. Please help.

    Hi su22,

Periods can change a bit due to a variety of reasons... recent illness, age, fluctuation in hormones, diet changes, etc.. They can also be off a bit for no apparent reason. A few days different here and there is not unusual or a concern.

Do you know how long your cycles tend to be? Keep in mind that they can alter slightly simply due to the number of days in each month. This will change the date when you might normally expect it to show up.

Mam one more question: do you tell me is that is possible having periods during pregnancy because I have had sex on 20 February using withdrwal method and after that this is my third period. But I have seen some symptoms of early pregnancy. Please reply.

You wouldn't have an actual period if pregnancy, but some women do have some bleeding in early pregnancy that can be mistaken for a period. Usually it will be different in some way from their normal period... lighter flow, shorter number of days for example.

If you have been having pretty regular periods, that are like you would expect, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. You could always try a pregnancy test to know for sure.
