    Implantation bleeding?
On march7th I had my period. It was normal. On march 17 and 18 I had un protected sex. On April 7th I started having a dark brown stuff coming out but it was exactly like my period, such as the amount. And, 2 days later I woke up bleeding really bad and hurting really really really bad. Then after that whole day all I had was the brown stuff again. Then after that the next day I had a little bit of blood when I went to the bathroom and then from after that the brown stuff until the thirteenth. And the thirteenth it completely stopped in the middle of the day. Could this be implantation bleeding? Please serious answers only. Never been on birth control. When should I take a HPT. Just give me info. Please.

Implantation bleeding is really misunderstood. Rather than typing the entire thing over again, I ask that you please read this sticky for information on that topic. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/pregna...tml#post250360

It is possible that you had an "off" period. Even the most regular of women have an "off" period every once in a while. As far as a HPT, it would be best for you to wait until your next period is due. If it does not come when expected try a HPT using first morning urine. Until that time, treat yourself as if you are pregnant by not drinking, smoking or drugs. Eat healthy and get plenty of rest.

You are welcome! I am a registered nurse who specializes in women's health, particularly obstetrics and gynecology, so I do think I have some experience. ;)

Oh okayy. Lol. I'm sorry. You're completely right! But if I came into the doctor for that what would you automatically think is wrong? Because I'm just trying to get info.

I wouldn't think anything is wrong at this point in time due to what I mentioned above. While it is possible that you are pregnant, it's really still to early to tell at this point.

Again, we can have a period that is a little off from our norm, it's really not that unusual. This is why I recommend waiting until next month to see what happens.

Trying to conceive can be very stressful, thus causing a missed or unusual period in and of itself.

Okay thank you bunches. I appriciate it! Ill take HPT after I miss my period, if I do. But I just have a feeling that's what it is. Because I've had my period be weird but it always did the same thing and this was different and I just have that feeling this is what it is. Maybe I'm just hoping. I don't know. I hope I can wait, I have no patience.and I'm very anxious.

I like to tell my patients that they know their bodies better than I do. There is something to be said for "intuition."

I'm advising you strictly from a medical textbook standpoint. However, you could try to take a HPT at this point. Be sure to use first morning urine and follow the rest of the directions on the box very carefully. I recommend one of the digital First Responses that gives you the actual "pregnant" or "not pregnant" responses rather than trying to decipher whether or you got two lines or one.
