    Gator bite pex leak
I put in a tee in a copper line and connected to pex. It is leaking on the pex side.
Is there a way to fix this leak or do I need to start over?

Disengage PEX pipe. Inspect end for imperfections, including hair-line-like scratches. If unsure, cut off couple of inches. Reinstall. Should work. Back to you. Milo

Do you have enough wiggle room to cut off 1 1/2" of the pex to give you a new biting surface? Before you cut try disconnecting the pex by compressing the small ring on the Gator, then reinstall and make sure the prx bottoms out inside the gator, sometimes thats all it takes, just another 1/8"

    Hi SIB

Did you insert the plastic white insert into the PEX tubing before inserting the PEX into the gatorbite fitting? If not, then that is your issue... remove the pipe and insert the plastic insert into the PEX tubing and try again!
