1. you never should have put his name on the deed
2. you did, so the minute you did, he owned 1/2 of the equity in the home.
3. but he also gets 1/2 of the costs and debts.
4. yes it is very possible for him to force the sale of the house, since you did not put anything in writing, allowing you to live there for the rest of your life.
