    Child support
My daughter is getting a divorce. The court ordered child support of 1100. Based on his income. He is harassing her & telling her he will now never be able to see the kids since he will have to work all the time now. He says she has wrecked his & the kids life because of this child support. He did offer he 400 per mth & he feels that is more than fair. Any thoughts on this one?

Some Jurisdictions base support of a percentage of his income... it would help to know what state this is.

If the court ordered it then he can try to petition the court to reduce it... but he's going to have to prove to the court that amount is excessive for that state based on his income.

What he or she wants means nothing... once the court orders a certain amount... only the court can modify it.

So she laughs at him and tells him too bad, that if he does not pay and is sitting in court, he can not see the kids either.

This is a normal sour grapes when a ex find out how much of their income they have to pay.

How much a month does he make and how many children are involved in this?
