No hot water out of only one faucet in house
Woke up this morning and my master bathroom hot water faucet produces no water. It came out in a quick burst, then nothing. Cold water faucet is working with no problem. Hot water faucets work in all other bathrooms and kitchen. Just not master bathroom. Any suggestions?

Tell us more! What fixture is this faucet on? One handle or two knobs? Brand name? How old? Back to you, Tom

You have a blockage in either the stop or in the hot water supply side of the faucet. Iis this a 1 handle faucet?

It's a Tuscany Cordova 4" two-handle centerset faucet. I saw a few other similar issues that recommended pulling and inspecting the cartridge. I did this yesterday and it looked fine. I don't think it's the faucet, but I am an extreme novice... thoughts?

When you had the faucet did you turn the water back on to flush out the supplies? Back to you, Tom

Thanks for the response Tom! When I had the hot-water faucet handle off and the cartridge out, I had the hot water shut off at the shut-off valve. I did turn on the cold water and it flowed through the hot water opening. I'll pull the cartridge back out, open the hot water valve and see if anything comes out and post the results. Thanks!

So pulled the hot-water handle off today and removed the cartridge. Turned the hot water flow back on at the shut-off valve and nothing... no flow of water. I assume this means that it is not a faucet issue, but an issue with the pipes? Thanks for your input!

Could be the stop under the sink is plugged.

That would be the next thing I checked. Shut the water off at the curb or house stop and remove the angle stop. Place an pail in front of the open pipe and have someone turn the water on or a few seconds. If you have a strong flow you can either replace the angle stop or open it up and clean it out. Good luck, Tom

    Thanks... will try that next!

Quick update... went to work on the faucet this morning. Was going to stop the water and check the pipes. Tried the water (as I do every morning), and it actually worked this morning. Not sure what happened... why it is working now, but I am not complaining. I am a little concerned as to why it suddenly started working again. Thanks to all for your quick answers and your awesome advice!

This is a long shot but it actually happened to me. I had a Moen "diverter" valve and replaced the cartridge which fixed issue for about a day. I then removed the cartridge and looked into the valve body. I found a small piece of white material blocking the hot input. It almost looked like teflon tape but was much harder. I suspect it came from water heater. I had helper slowly turn on/off the water supply to make the material move out further into the body. With water shut off I used forceps and long nose pliers to coax out the tape. Five years later I found another piece of this material in another shut off valve but it did not seem to block the flow.
