My shih tzu won't eat dog food? I've tried cat food and she eat that for a week and got board of it? She's basically living on bits of chicken that I've got to hand feed her or she wouldn't eat that? I don't no what to do help?

A dog being hand fed, is a spoiled dog, not a good thing. A dog will not starve, even though you would think so. Put dry dog food down in a bowl, leave it. As soon as she realizes she isn't going to get special attention, she will eat.

I agree with Tickle, a healthy dog will not starve itself.
Hand fed dogs do not do well if it happens that you ever have to leave them in a boarding situation or in the care of family members for some reason.
Best to solve this problem early on.
I would also stay away from feeding her cat food, it is not formulated for a dogs nutritional needs.
