    2002 cavalier mid firing.
I have a 2002 cavalier and the 2 cylinder in misfiring and I have no idea which one is the 2 cylinder! Does it run right to left or left to right?

I would replace all of the spark plugs (ACDelco only), if they have not been changed in 50,000 miles. Verify that they are gapped to spec and lightly coat the porcelein and top electrode portion of the plug with dielectric grease. This will likely solve the problem. If necessary, clear any codes with a code reader.

If the problem persists, it could be air/fuel or compression related. First, smell the exhaust, after the engine reaches normal operating temperature. High HC levels could point to a spark problem still existing (i.e. bad coil or plug wires) or a bad injector. Next, check engine compression and look for intake manifold leaks. A Verus scanner can be invaluable in solving these problems.
