We have a 1.5 years old Panasonic Plasma, model TC-P46G25. Most times when we try to turn it on, it will not. Instead it blinks at a steady 5 sec interval - indefinitely. I have read about a 7 and 10 blink pattern, but there is no pattern except the 5 sec interval. The only way (we have found) to activate the TV is to unplug it and then plug it back in and try to turn it on. Many times this takes several attempts but it eventually will turn on... so far. The TV seems to function normally when on.
I have talked with Panasonic service and they were no help. The service company they recommended gave me no confidence that they could fix the problem.
Has anyone had this experience and been able to fix it?

Do you have cable or satellite service attached? If so, have you tried using the TV without the cable or satellite box attached? If so, are you experiencing the same problem?

I actually have this same problem with my TV (It's an LG 49" LCD) but I found out it was a problem with the cable box... so we just leave the TV on all the time and when we want to turn off, we just turn the cable box off.
